Hello and welcome to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) chicken_icons!
My name is Sarah and I use this journal to host the icons I make. This journal used to be public, so that any appreciators of my icons could come and view them as they liked. However, due to some rather nasty and rude sh*t-stirrers at an icon-stealing community (who refused to credit my icons), I was forced to make this journal:
If you wish to be added to the Friend List of this journal, post a comment at the entry via the picture above. However, you'll only be added after careful consideration. And if you belong to an icon-stealing community, you won't be added. Sorry, but that's my prerogative. People who steal icons and take glee in it have no place here.
Please DO NOT go to my personal journal and ask me to add you because you like my icons. That is why I have this journal.
The thing that a lot of people don't understand is the time and effort that goes into making icons. For that reason, it's important to follow the rules set out in each post. It's not rocket science to be courteous.
General Rules Regarding Icon Use:
1. Comment.
2. Credit chicken_icons in either the keywords or comment box*.
3. Please don't claim as your own work.
4. Please DON'T alter (unless it's just the speed).
5. No hotlinking.

*People have trouble finding my icons, so this is a nifty way for them to be able to find me. Check the Frequently Asked Questions for how to credit. Anyone found NOT crediting will be given three warnings to do so before I report their violation to _anti_theft_ and ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) icontheft, as well as posting their user name in the Thief section of this page.

If you have a question, please read through the other questions in the post to make sure I haven't already answered it.
